Habits. We all have them, good and bad. They are powerful things that become a part of how we live and who we are. In fact, our habits come to define us as individuals. Just think about how challenging it can be to shake a bad habit. Now, imagine if that habit was a positive thing, contributing to your health, wellbeing and happiness.

I know there are so many of you who are trying to make positive lifestyle choices so you can be your healthiest, happiest, most vibrant self, but there is so much information out there to filter through these days, and that makes it difficult for us to know what it is we should be doing to create a healthy lifestyle. Whether it is the food we put in our body, the stress management techniques we use to help us along, or the exercise we choose to engage in, there are so many people, organizations, and groups trying to influence us, attempting to sway our decision to buy the ‘next best thing’ for our health.

That’s why I’ve created this online membership program. With continuous support from a trained Holistic Nutritionist and lifestyle guru, and with support from other experts in the fields of meditation, exercise, and more, you will be guided to develop the healthy habits that are right for you, as an individual. Drawing on my additional training in Culinary Nutrition, I will provide you with healthy meal plans, food substitutions, and nutritional information to help you achieve healthy habits in your relationship to food and nutrition. You will also learn about healthy habits in other areas of your life, all contributing to a holistic, personal wellness philosophy that isn’t just some flash in the pan, but a long-term, sustainable, and effective means of becoming healthier – for life.

Your Coach and Nutritionist

Jessica Mitton is a Registered Holistic Nutritionist and Culinary Nutrition Expert located on the east coast of Canada in St. John's, Newfoundland. After going through her own health challenges and overcoming them with healthy eating habits and lifestyle changes she now wants to share this knowledge with you! One-on-one nutritional consultations are a service of the past. With the support in this membership program, Jessica will be able to motivate you and provide you with the guidance you need to stay on track!

Jessica believes in a holistic approach, taking into consideration the body, mind and spirit. She is fascinated by the healing potential of natural, whole food and how it can be used to help individuals improve their overall health and quality of life.

Jessica has been featured in the Academy of Culinary Nutrition’s 2016 and 2017 From Scratch cookbooks and is a former recipe contributor for Co-op Atlantic. She has given presentations and demonstrations at high schools and numerous public events, and has also been featured in OptimyzOld Crow and Co-op Dish magazines as well as Exploring Mind and Body and VOBB radio. Jessica is the author of Some Good cookbook, which will be available spring 2018 through Breakwater Books.

Having had a particularly unhealthy summer, I knew that it was time to get back to eating well so I joined HHM with Jessica Mitton. I have been part of so many groups like this in the past since I enjoy the peer support and love finding new recipes, but honestly, I’m usually let down. Typically the recipes are healthy, but definitely not tasty and being someone who loves to eat, I always have a hard time sticking to bland chicken and steamed broccoli. HHM was completely different! I’ll admit that I was skeptical that all of the healthy ingredients on the shopping list would yield delicious meals, but I certainly was pleasantly surprised. The recipes were delicious, often tasting restaurant quality and like something that I couldn’t actually produce with my level of culinary expertise. Each recipe offered thoughtful substitutions making them easy and economical to make. The environment in the Facebook group was also one of the most supportive I’ve ever seen. Jessica constantly checked in on the participants and answered any questions posed in a thoughtful, respectful manner. I’m pleased to say that the month that I participated in the HHM program put me right back on track with my healthy lifestyle!
